Thank your for evaluating WCS Trivia from WCS Software!

Full instructions are located in the WCSServer.hlp or TrivEdit.hlp
files, but here is a quick "condensed" version of the installation
instructions to get you started:

1 - Unzip the WCSTriv10.zip file into a temp directory.

2 - Run the SETUP.EXE file included.  This will install the program
    for you, and ask you where you want to install it.  We recommend
    the default installation location, however you can install it
    wherever you wish.  The install program will lead you through the 
    installation.  (It is a standard InstallShield install) After the 
    installation is complete, it will create a program groupcalled WCS 
    Trivia (or another, if you specified it), that will include the 
    icons for the WCS Game Server, and the WCS Trivia Question Editor.
    The game server will need to be running in order for the game to 
    function correctly.

3 - After installation is complete, you will need to install the client
    programs for your users.  To do this, you will need to shutdown the
    all Wildcat/WINS programs and then the wcServer.  Once everything is
    stopped, run the ClientInstall.exe program in your WC5 home directory.
    When prompted for the location of the update file, choose "I already 
    have the update file" and enter the directory where you installed
    WCS Trivia.  When you press the "next" button, you should see the 
    WCSTriv.wup file.  Choose that file and press "next", then at the
    following screen, press "next" again.  This should install the
    client program into your WC5/WINS system.

4 - After getting the client program installed, you now need to set your
    security access for the new client in the Access Profiles section of 
    wcConfig.   If you don't, people will get a "You don't have authority 
    to run this client" message when trying to run it.

    To give security access for the WCS Trivia client:

    Verify that wcServer is running, and start wcConfig.
    Open the Access Profiles icon, and select an access profile to edit.
    Click the Clients tab, and be sure that the WCS Trivia Client is toggled 
    on.
    Click OK to save your changes and return to the previous window.
    Repeat the procedure for each access profile that should be able to use 
    WCS Trivia. 

5 - Update a html page with the 
    <a href="client?wcstriv.wcn"> WCS Trivia</a> anchor tag, so
    people can run the client  from your web page.  You can use the 
    supplied WCSTrivia.htm file as a guide.

6 - After all that is done, make sure and start the WCS Software Game Server 
    (WCSServer.exe) program.  It should put a little icon in your system 
    tray after it starts.  If this program is not running, the game won't work.

You are done!  Start playing WCS Trivia!
